David
Devlin is President of FEE, the European Federation of Accountants.
The Fédération des Experts Comptables Européens
(FEE) is the representative organisation for the accountancy
profession in Europe. FEE's membership consists of 44 professional
institutes of accountants from 32 countries. FEE member
bodies are present in all 25 member states of the European
Union and three member countries of EFTA. FEE member bodies
represent more than 500,000 accountants in Europe.
David Devlin is a member of the
Supervisory Board of the European Financial Reporting Advisory
Group, established to advise the European Commission on
the introduction of International Financial Reporting Standards
in the EU by 2005 and to influence the work of the International
Accounting Standards Board.
David Devlin is a member of the
European Commission’s European Corporate Governance
Forum. He also is active in matters of professional ethics
for the accountancy profession. He is a member of IFAC’s
Ethics Committee, which is responsible for the profession’s
global Ethics Code.
He was a member of the Irish Government’s
Company Law Review Group until 2004.
He is a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers
in Dublin.
