Brussels 1 June 2005 – The Social Science Research Network (SSRN) and the ECGI have entered into an agreement whereby the Institute co-hosts, alongside the Stanford Law School, the SSRN’s worldwide eLibrary.

The SSRN’s eLibrary contains containing abstracts on over 93,900 scholarly working papers and forthcoming papers and an Electronic Paper Collection currently containing over 67,400 downloadable full text documents in Adobe Acrobat pdf format.

The ECGI is providing the European ‘mirror’ site for these documents, allowing readers in Europe to download them more quickly and efficiently.

Mike Jensen, Chairman of SSRN said "SSRN is excited about this collaboration with ECGI. As a major European research institute ECGI coordinates the work of European scholars on Corporate Governance and related topics and acts as a the bridge for the worldwide distribution of the research through SSRN's eLibrary."

Marco Becht, ECGI’s Executive Director, said “Since the Institute was founded some three years ago, the ECGI’s two Working Papers series on Finance and Law have been available online free of charge from the SSRN's Financial and Legal Research Institutes Papers Series. We are delighted now to extend our relationship with this prestigious network.”
